The Girl In The Little Red Kitchen Bake Shop Giveaway
Love fresh bakery cookies? Here’s your chance to try The Girl In The Little Red Kitchen Bake Shop with a fun cookie giveaway!
Since we’ve been talking cookies all week, I thought it would be appropriate to give away a dozen fresh-baked cookies to end the week with a bang! Although I need to clarify this isn’t officially part of Cookie Week; this is just a giveaway I’m doing to help Susan of The Girl In The Little Red Kitchen (which if you’ve been reading along, you may recognize her name as one of the Cookie Week coordinators). This past September, Susan recently opened up The Girl In The Little Red Kitchen Bake Shop, a small batch online bakery where the cookies are preservative free and made with the best ingredients, most of which are organic and fair trade chocolate. I’m here to fully support her dream and let you know about her bake shop.
“Why order cookies from an online bakery when you can bake your own?” The simplest answer is convenience. It is now the first week in November. You’re already getting invites left and right for holiday parties and get togethers. You’re working overtime so you can take time off for Christmas. What do you get your boss? What about your department when you don’t want to buy individual gifts (or worse – you don’t like everyone but can’t leave anyone out)? What about your Aunt Mary who seems to have everything? Or maybe you won’t see Uncle Bob this year because he lives too far to visit? Gift cards are so impersonal. Fresh cookies, now who has ever said, ew I just got cookies as a gift? Exactly. I’ve eaten Susan’s cookies (yes, plural) and can vouch that they have that freshly baked taste. Throw them in the microwave for 5-10 seconds, and they’ll feel like they just came fresh out of the oven (can you tell I get a little too excited when chocolate chips are involved?)
Still not convinced? What if you got to try a dozen of Susan’s cookies for free? Because you totally can. Thanks to Susan’s generosity, I am giving away one shipment of your choice – chocolate chip, triple chocolate, peanut butter, a combo of those first three, or peanut butter and jelly sandwich cookies.
Susan and I virtually met through a group called Sunday Supper and quickly became good friends via the internet. Then we met in person at a conference in July 2013 and felt like we’ve known each other for years. We met up again in June 2014 during another conference where we were roommates. I had the opportunity to watch Susan start up her Girl In The Little Red Kitchen Bake Shop, from the planning process to the Kickstarter fundraiser to officially being open for business. Not only is it important to support my friend’s dream, it’s just as equally important to support locally-owned businesses as being an entrepreneur is one of the hardest careers for anyone to do.
I hope you will give The Girl In The Little Red Kitchen Bake Shop a try. Oh and it’s not just for holidays either. Birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, I’m-sorry-you’re-having-a-bad-day surprise, or just a simple thinking of you gift.
